About Us

Many Journeys. One Mission.

When Holly, Jo and Steve, our directorial team, decided to collaborate and combine their unique and diverse clinical skills, StarPhysio was born.

In May 2016, we won Santander’s Most Enterprising Community Project and our dream of successfully reaching out to and serving those who would benefit from our skills and services became a reality.

We know that each and every journey is unique but our mission remains the same: to make the lives of the people we serve better.

Our StarPhysio Team

Our StarPhysio team have over 50 years combined experience in both private and NHS practice, giving us the understanding, knowledge, expertise and ability to treat conditions that are often complex and challenging.

We provide comprehensive assessment services, treatment, training and advice to families and carers in their homes, nurseries, schools and at our clinical sites across Sussex. We work with families, case managed patients, multi-disciplinary teams and external providers to meet our patients needs in full both clinically and holistically.
We are also deeply committed to the development of our team and associates. We want every member of staff to grow their skills and confidence alongside us, ensuring their practice is aligned with our ethos, vision and values. By investing in training and mentoring, we are building a team culture that is both supportive and forward-looking.
As directors, we also continue to develop our own knowledge and leadership. Most recently, we returned to Brighton University to complete the government’s Help to Grow course, strengthening our skills in sustainable growth and strategic development so that StarPhysio can continue to thrive as a values-led organisation.

Meet the Team

Community is at our heart

StarPhysio is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC). Our ethos is to deliver sustainable, professional, exceptional, evidence-based and crucial services. As a CIC, we depend on and appreciate the support we receive from grants and the local community.
Our Mission is to provide family and whole-person centred physiotherapy and aquatic physiotherapy that prioritises long-term wellbeing and growth. We are committed to continuously evolving our practice by embracing innovative approaches from around the world to ensure every child and family receives the best possible care and support.

Our Vision is a future where every child we work with has the opportunity to reach their full potential. We aim to create a supportive environment where high-quality holistic therapies are accessible to all families, helping both children and their caregivers thrive.

Our Values guide everything we do:

* Compassionate and individualised care for each child and family.
* Focus on long-term wellbeing and growth, not just short-term results.
* Treat each child as a whole person and support their entire family unit.
* Stay open to new ideas and continuously evolve our practice using innovative approaches from around the world.
* Offer time and space for therapeutic interventions to support families under stress.
* Provide subsidised aquatic physiotherapy for Sussex-based children from lower income families.
* Offer experienced case management support, including comprehensive reports and collaboration with other professionals.
* Support our staff and associates to develop their skills so that their practice grows in line with our ethos, vision and values.
