Our Story

The team – Steve, Jo and Holly all came together with a shared passion for promoting therapeutic movement and well-being in children and young adults with complex physical disability. We won the Santander’s “Most Enterprising Community Project” award in May 2016 and this was a catalyst for StarPhysio becoming the company it is today.

We have all worked extensively in both the NHS and private practice. Holly and Steve have both worked as physiotherapists at Chailey Heritage Clinical Services, and Jo in the community supporting children, young adults and families. Between us we have 40 years experience, specialising in treating infants, children and young adults with neurological and developmental disabilities.

We initially started our aquatic therapy (hydrotherapy) services twice monthly at our pool near Lewes, this has now organically developed into a full and established aquatic therapy service serving East and West Sussex. Our land-based service has also grown and without advertising and promotion, we are visiting 10 schools, one charity and over 25 homes each week to deliver our valued service.

Many journeys. One mission.

Our clients are hugely supportive of our work and describe the benefits of our service. Please watch our film to see us in action and read our testimonials to find out what they have to say. We plan to expand to enable more people to access our service and have high hopes of our own centre in the future, we continue to fundraise and seek support for us to deliver a sustainable service in our community.
