Walking Concerns

Gait (walking) concerns may be part of a typical development curve or indicate the need for active treatment strategies or onward referral. Examples of gait concerns during childhood development may be toe walking, in-toeing, out-toeing, ‘knock’ knees or flat feet.

At StarPhysio we work together with our clients and their families to identify any concerns and can carry out a detailed assessment. We have a sound knowledge of typical development and often, the majority of concerns can be alleviated in the examination and advice provided to support a child’s development, however, at times more regular intervention may be required. We will be able to give you suitable information and any ongoing strategies if necessary. At times, it may be appropriate that another professional, such as a paediatrician gets involved and we can contact your GP or health visitor.
