WATSU® Therapy

What is WATSU® therapy?

WATSU® (Water Shiatsu) is a gentle form of aquatic bodywork that combines elements of massage, shiatsu and movement. Performed in warm water (around 35°C), a trained practitioner gently cradles, rocks, stretches and massages the body in flowing sequences. The buoyancy of the water allows the body to feel weightless and supported, while the warmth helps muscles relax and release tension.

One participant, Mark, shared: “I actually feel far more relaxed and connected after WATSU® than after a full body massage. I can’t recommend it enough and have been telling all and sundry about its benefits.”

Who is it for?

WATSU® therapy is safe and gentle, making it suitable for people of all ages and levels of mobility. It can be used as a relaxation technique, a therapeutic intervention for those experiencing pain, stress or anxiety, or as a complementary approach for people with neurological or musculoskeletal conditions. Sessions are tailored to each individual’s needs, goals and comfort.
